Max, here is a link to some assembly/disassembly videos I made for the P series CZ's
assembly-disassembly

I finally bought a P-07 after two P-09s.  I shot the P-09 in bullseye matches for all of 2014.  I liked the P-07 so much I decided to shoot it in a bullseye match in May of this year, after installing a red dot sight temporarily.  I have a CGW hammer and a 17# hammer spring in the gun, and that's it.  I had high score at that match, by the way.

+1. I got mine back from CGW last week. Pro-Grade Package, extended mag release, Dawson night sights, and barrel re-crown. Took a solid pistol and made it spectacular. It's so good I think I'm going to make it my EDC gun.

Yes.

I got the CZ custom hammer and sear spring today and installed them - come to find out the safety will not engage at full cock. So I call cz custom and it turns out the dirty little secret nobody tells you with these hammers is you have to file down the front of the sear to get safety function. I just left it as is and took it to the range and shot about 150 rounds. The SA trigger pull was much, much improved, but I'm going back to the factory hammer because I don't want to file on stuff.

Hammer and sear spring are going up on the EE if anyone else cares to try them.

Hmmm.....

I didn't have to file anything with the Cajun gun parts

Is there a Half-Cock notch like in the CZ75B trigger group?
I often carry my CZ75B and CZP-02 in that half cock... kinda like a 1.25ActionOnly... it's longer and heavier than SAO, but much crisper than DA first strike.

Yes, that's how I carry mine.  Load mag, rack, decock, drop mag, top off mag, put in holster.

hmm, I may call CZ custom and ask for a return then - there was no mention of this being a known issue on their website, but when I called it was obvious that it was

the CZC hammer still had a teensy tiny bit of creep, was the CGW one totally creep free?

it's pretty nice

...it's not as sweet as my custom STI 2011 trigger job,  but it's nice

how would you compare it to a stock 1911, crispness wise?

a bit more take-up ( not surprising, since it's also DA )

but in terms of creep,.... just as crisp as a stock 1911

a bit lighter too.

P-07 is my daily carry. Bought it used and it came with decocker, so I switched it for the safety and its a great modification.

sorry but $220 worth of parts in a $430 gun is out of the question, the thought of dropping 85 for the hammer alone pisses me off

besides the reset doesn't really bother me as is, it's not that long

You aren't thinking big picture.  Mines got all that and the stainless guide rod and over travel stop trigger CGW makes.  At first, I wasn't sure the upgrades were worth it, but they are.  Takes a hundred rounds or so to wear it all in, and then go crazy.  As I said before, a Sig Tacops or HK P30 set up like my P07 would have cost hundreds more than what I have in my gun.

Treat a P07 like a budget gun or treat it like a premium handgun.  Its both.
