[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Any word on getting the Shadow 2 in the States?

It's not listed as "New for 2016" on the CZ-USA website. I have find one place in Canada that is taking pre-orders, price $1400 CAD.
I would LOVE to get my hands on one! Anyone know the status of bringing this gun into the States??

Word has it late third quarter.... My guess would be you'll actually see them available Nov-Dec.

I read on another forum that they will soon begin ATF approval process for importation and it will take 6 to 9 months.

I just went ahead and bought a Tanfo Stock II.

I may be retired by the time the Shadow 2 gets here.

It's a race gun. I imagine it helps you shoot faster, kinda like racing stripes.

I am upgrading my competition gun and this caught my eye. That is until i found out that they haven't even hit the market yet. CZ released a great promotional video on the gun and apparently was "overwhelmed" with demand. How they couldn't forsee demand and have some finished stock is beyond me. Seems like they have a piss poor manufacturing and distribution system. Obviously I'm butt hurt about it. Was planning to switch from a Glock to this and have the winter to dry fire and get used to the trigger.

The Tanfoglio Stock 2 will get my money instead. Great gun for much less money.

I had just emailed CZ USA about this today. Here was their response:

The Shadow 2 was recently released at IWA, and at the moment, the only guns out there are pre-production prototypes. We’re set to get the first run of production guns for testing when they roll out of the factory, but the biggest hiccup is the ATF. They take 6-9 months to approve import of new models from the date that they receive it.

When we finally get those first guns, we’ll figure out our distribution plan for them here in the US, we just don’t have a good idea of when that’ll be.
