From what I have read it's just a cosmetic upgrade with no real advantage, and actually could be a disadvantage.
CZ P-01's had a problem with using SS rods,and some other CZ's became unreliable when switched from the plastic guide rod to stainless. Plenty of reading if you use Google. Most swear by the stainless because of the perceived notion that metal is better then plastic. I'm not having a problem with my CZ pistols so I'm not going to change them unless I have a problem.YMMV |

Not me. I switched out the recoil spring and just took the end cap off the plastic guide rod
