Never owned a cz and looking for a new carry gun to add to the fold

Having a hard time deciding

I prefer the 75 Compact, but it's personally preference. I would definitely prefer a PCR over a P01. A PCR is basically just like a P01 but it doesn't have the rail and big block up front. The slimmer profile is nicer for carry.

I used to carry a 75 Compact and I was fine with it. I carry an HK P7 now though.

I prefer the 75c as well. It is light for a steel framed gun, and you have the option for cocked and locked or double single.

Funny, I was the opposite - used to carry a P7, now carry a 75C. (Well, if IWB... usually just pocket a Kahr. Also carry a Commander IWB from time to time.)

Only thing I miss with the P7 is the capacity of the 75C. Aside from that I feel like the P7 is almost a perfect carry gun for me.

What made you decide to switch?

Basically, I just like CZs better. (And the capacity angle didn't hurt.)

I like the P01 personally.  The P07 is a little wider and the 75C is a little heavier.

What's max capacity on any of these, including aftermarket mags?

For the 75C, PCR, and P01, I believe the standard mags are 14 rounds, but they'll accept full size mags if you want which are available in 16, 18, 19, and I think there are some in the high 20s or 30s. They're just going to stick out beyond the frame.

I have no idea what's available for the P07.

You can take the wrap-around basepad from an SP-01 mag and put it on a normal 16-rounder to use in the compact frames - I mean, doing so works/looks the same as the 18-round SP-01 mag in the full-size. I personally prefer to swap the baseplate on a 14-rounder for normal carry, as the stockers stick out a bit - I use the baseplate from a USGI M9 mag on mine, which matches the frontstrap contour near perfectly.

The P07 can accept standard 75 mags, though I don't know if they are 100% reliable (the P07 mags are slightly different).

14 stock and flush with grip, up to 16 with the stock full size mags, now if you start playing with different base pads then a bit more.

po1 because I got a smoking deal on it and there weren't any regular compacts on the market. Its fine for ccw, I use an Garrett industries appendix holster and it goes away just fine. Either way its still a hunk of metal you are trying to hide, nothing really is ever comfortable

I will carry a full size cz75 in  a Winthrop Leather holster even during the summer time.  It is thinner than some other guns especially with the VZ grips.  My vote would be for the cz75 compact with VZ grips and trijicon sights.

I've been leaning towards this exact setup

I tracked down a P02 and put on VZ grips.  It had night sights in the box.

Alloy frame, night sights, cocked and locked carry...

IMO, if you're used to carrying polymer guns now you'd prefer the p-01 or 07, the 75c is quite a bit heavier. I love my p-01 for carry but 75c's shoot very nice.

I went with the P-01.  I like having the rail as I like to slap a light on there from time to time.

I like the p01 or p07. They are almost the same weight. Cajun gun works does a defensive package and a pro grade package for the p01 that look pretty awesome. Around 800 bucks I think. Want to get one because I'm moving on from glocks but I'm getting an sp01 shadow first this week.

Also, seems like the p01 is slimmer than the p07. Same barrel length but 1.7lbs for the p07 and 1.75 for the p01.

Yes, the P07 is considerably thicker/wider than a traditional CZ.

The P07 is stock 15 rounds, and there are easily available quality extensions. They can also take the 19 round P09 mags.
