I heard somewhere that CZ has a new style of Kadet FP & FP spring.
Anyone upgrade their Kadet?
As I understand, it will allow a 13lb mainspring
To reliably ignite rimfire ammo.
Did I dream this or is it just a well kept secret?

Just wishful thinking.  Only one CZ firing pin available for the Kadet.  People have been trying for years to get a Kadet to run with the hammer spring they want to use with 9mm slide for games in DA/SA and it isn't going to happen.  A 15# spring will work 90% of the time and a 17 will work 100% of the time.  I gave up and converted my 75B to single action only and leave the 17 in all the time.  But my Kadet is now a bullseye match gun and I no longer use the frame for IDPA so that was an easy decision for me.

I have 31k rounds through a Kadet.

If you can live with a few light hits, try the 15.  I can't.

FWIW, Cajun Gun Works used to make an extended firing pin but stopped making it because it wouldn't work consistently in all Kadet kits.  If anyone is interested I have an image with the dimensions - you can IM me for it if you want it.  If you have access to a lathe you could make one, but no guarantees whether it will work safely or if it might puncture primers.  I've been planning on making one but haven't gotten around to it yet.

You sure about that?

ETA: got mine today. Looks exactly like the one I had in the gun.
I guess I dreamt the whole thing.

Maybe I had a older kadet, CZ sent me a new firing pin/spring, the tip was shaped different IIRC

The old style FP had a round tip.
The new style is a chisel point.
They have been using the new style for a few
Years now.

Interesting.

I've had 4 Kadets, the first was bought new in 2007. I think all of mine have had a chisel tip.
