I own a glock 17,19, 34, sig 226, p6 an old cz 75 and a newer cz 75 and a cz phantom.  I have a "thing" for 9mm and I'm always searching  for an accurate 9mm I like.  All the previous mentioned pistols  are good  pistols, but I like this p09 so much better. No one thing stands out, but the sum of its parts make this my favorite pistol. This thing shoots.  I thought my phantom shot well,  but I don't like the decocker and gritty trigger. My p09 has a  reasonably good trigger and  my 6.2 power pistol,  124 gr precision delta load shoots tiny little groups. Quick follow up shots are easy.  In my opinion this thing is a bargain at 457 through Buds. Goodbye glock.  If you are in the market for a plastic service pistol check it out.

I'm a glock guy but I did put an FDE P09 with night sights on layaway with Buds. They look like really good guns.

I just wish they took standard 75B mags.

75 mags work in my P07.  There's a little bit of wiggle, but they lock in place and feed.  Not sure i'd trust it for more than range use, but, it does work...

Well to make you have to buy more extremely expensive mags, of course.

Glad to hear this. I just picked one up two weeks ago.  I bought it on impulse (I paid waaaay too much , 520.00)  really w/o knowing much about it .  I like the feel of it, and that big 'ol 19 +1 capacity is nice also. I'm looking forward to getting to the range with it.

Well isn't the p09 longer than the p07?  I mean it takes what, 19 round flush fit mags?  Can p09 mags fit in a cz p07?

I think he meant P 097/09 vs. 75 series.

Indeed,  the mags should have been common between the two lines.

I thought the p07 could take cz 75 mags?

I was told SP-01 mags (75B mags basically) would fit my P-07 but they don't. They fit and half-ass lock in, but the mags fall out after 2-3 shots. At least that's the case with mine.

BOTH my P07's work with CZ-75 mags no problem, they don't wiggle at all! They also take my P09 mags

I have probably about 6 P07 mags, 4 MecGar 19rd CZ-75 mags (use these for range, but would trust them for serious use) and 3 P09 mags. All things being equal, I'll just buy P09 mags now, as they work with all my CZ's.

Is there a Mec-Gar branded P-09 magazine?

Picked up my FDE P09 with night sights from the FFL last nice. Seems pretty nice. Feels great in my hand. This is my first CZ.

You'll love it. They're seriously the most amazing pistols that everyone just overlooks.

I am a Glock guy so anything else just doesn't feel quite right to me. But the P09 feels good so far, without having shot it yet. I do like the undercut on the trigger guard, the P09 is better in this area than my Glocks by far. I wish the P09 had a thumb rest though.

I was a Glock guy for a long time too. Guess what - not anymore. CZ's will take your Glock's places.

I bought a P-07 that replaced my Glock 19 that was my concealed carry gun for over a year. I don't miss the Glock 19 at all.

I've been thinking about a cajun gun works p09. They go for around 800 with all the parts and trigger work. I handled a stock one and it felt really nice so I can only imagine that the CGW version is pretty awesome.

CGW does absolutely amazing, mystical things with CZ pistols.

CGW does do incredible things to the P-09. This morning a gentleman on the range asked if he could try my P-09. He was doing mag dumps on a 1/2 scale IDPA target at 25 yards consistently, and was grinning when he got done. Turns out he works a local gun shop, too.

The next time I see someone post about getting a gun from or back from CGW I'm going to vomit...still waiting on my SP-01 after almost 7 weeks from there.

With that said - nice piece!
