Friend is offering it in trade(Wasr underfolder for CZ and cash),he doesn't know too much about it.
Thought it was refinished but now think it is the original finish.
Comes with seven mags and a case, pretty sure the case is not original.
One thing is,the mags don't seem to drop free, any thoughts on why?

So is this a good, bad,or so-so version of the pistol?
Worth trading?
Seems much more comfortable than a lot of other pistols I have held.
Manufacture date is 1996.
A few quick pics.

The date is right and the grips are right so i would say it is one of the overruns from the Turkish contract.  There is nothing special or collectible about these vs other CZ 75Bs but just like every other CZ they are great handguns.  What size are the mags?  I believe they originally came with a 10rd and 15rd mag.  The mag in your first picture looks like a 15rd pre-b magazine but it should still work in it and drop free as far as I know, someone can correct me if I am wrong on that.  I would do the trade but I love CZs.

The mags go for 40 ea new, the gun is about a 400 $ blaster.  Great guns, I have one.
The mags not dropping free is a function of a magazine brake, pretty easy to rework with a dremel or replace
with a new drop free insert.  Look in the mag well for a flat pc. of metal, bent toward the well.

I looked closer at the pics, those don't look like factory mags or my pre b 75 mags.  Most of the aftermarket mags I have are junk.  All my 75 mags have a metal floorplate.

I didn't think there was much difference between Turkish overrun and regular, but it is nice to know.

As to the mags, hope that they are factory mags,as I have had bad experiences with aftermarket mags with a P series Ruger.

If you don't already have a CZ75B I would take the trade. Thats a fine specimen with some cool history behind it. Its one of the few guns I trust my life to.

Yeah, I like them too.  OP, look at the 75B in the upper R., that is a factory mag in it.

I agree with this and the reason for the mags not dropping is a mag brake.

You have to bend the brake flat or replace it with this:

Yep. I had to do this to my older model 75.
