They offer an "economy package" for $195.00, the Defensive Carry Package (DCP) for $338.00, and the Pro Package for $426. $195 is basically the top of what I'd like to pay to get my SP-01 trigger feeling better. (It's really more than I'd like, but I hear nothing but good about CGW.) My question is just how much better will the trigger be over factory after this "economy package?" I feel like at that price I should be getting a pretty friggin awesome trigger, but at the same time when there are packages costing over double I have my doubts.

Any input on these packages would be greatly appreciated.

Also, what's the point of the SS guide rod CGW sells over factory?

As much as everyone talks up CGW no one has any info?

To be honest I would start with the Ultra-Lite Kit and go from there.  For less than $50 shipped it really improves the trigger even with the 13# hammer spring, 11.5# is even better, you can order here: http://www.cajungunworks.com/ultra-lite.html.

From there if you wanted or felt the need to you could also order the race hammer for around $100 shipped and improve the trigger even more: http://www.cajungunworks.com/decoker_hammers.html

I'm sure one of the packages would be great to have but I think the ultra-lite is a great kit for the money and made my trigger much better than stock for little money.

Yeah, I'm just not sure how comfortable I am messing around inside the gun. I do my own work on Glocks, but my 4 year old could handle Glock internals. The CZ seems a bit more technical.

To be honest it is very simple.  I'd watch a couple youtube videos as the hammer spring and firing pin can be replaced within 15 minutes with no prior experience with a CZ.  The hammer is a little trickier but would still only take you about the same amount of time.

I am assuming the SP01 with the manual safety? Safety is easier to work on, but the decocker is still not that bad. I was a little apprehensive to open up my SP01. I watched a couple of youtube videos on disassembly and reassembly before starting. I went through mine and smoothed out the action using some instructions from the CZ forums. A little while after that I installed a bunch of CGW parts with a CZ Custom comp hammer. I know the inside of my SP01 just as well as my boring Glocks. I did a lot of work and now my SP01 has a very nice and crisp 6 lb DA and 3 lb SA trigger.

If you are mechanically inclined do the work yourself. You will end up feeling a sense of accomplishment once you installed some parts and improve your trigger yourself and save some money in the process.

Well I was just told they have a 5 week turn around time and from what I hear, CZ Custom is like 6-8 weeks as well. I think I'll be doing it myself. Not going to wait that long after I get the gun off of lay away. lol

Is there a market to sell factory CZ night sights? I'm going to have CGW install their sight set while it's there so I'll have the factory SP01 night sights that I won't be doing anything with. Just wondering if it's a sought after item I can throw on EE later?

Oh, I guess you can see I decided to say screw it and just send it to them. Gonna let them do the Defensive Cary Package as well as install their sight set.

Edit: Found the info myself. Apparently they go for like $90/set.

Best answer I can give you are in this video. The trigger felt nicer than when it left, and the single action reset was awesome.

Yeah, I'm going to be opting for the Defensive Carry Package. From what I understand you simply have to feel it to believe how amazing it is.
