I've been looking for a way to mount a red dot sight to a CZ 75 and shoot out to 50 yards, unsupported. Recently an upper became available in the EE that had a Burris FF3 mounted.
I picked it up and decided to try using my 75 Stainless lower first:
I had a couple of 9mm ammo choices picked out and started out shooting the new Federal aluminum 9mm 115gr offering. It performed very poorly with 4 FTEs in 40 rounds and I ran out of elevation @ 25 yards. I'll have to shoot some over the chrono to see how slow it is.
Switching over to Tula 115gr remedied the function issues and also the elevation problem out to 50 yards. Tula has always functioned very well in my CZs.
The Stainless 75B trigger is bone stock and isn't exactly ideal for this type of shooting. Switching the upper over to a Single Action lower with a tuned trigger should yield better results.
Thinking about a holster, I had a home-made kydex holster lying around that trimmed up nicely for use with a RDS equipped 75B.
More testing to come with the Single Action lower
