THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
I did not find a thread, one, on the 97B here at arfcom. I'm a sucker for .45 acp in a pistol and I really don't have anything against the mighty 1911, but the Les Baer that I want is a bit out of my price range; plus I like being different, so the 97B looks very attractive to me. I hear it's accurate, how is the reliability? I had a Witness Elite Match in .45 acp and absolutely loved it, never failed to anything. I ended up selling it for something smaller I could carry. I figure the 97B would be close to what the Witness was, as Witness is a CZ clone.

I had one years ago, very accurate, but would not function with any JHP ammo, even after a trip back to CZ for "repair".
The polished the feed ramp and breech face, said they tested it and sent it back. No change at all.

So I sold it.

As I said it was very accurate with ball ammo and never had any issues with it. I hear the newer ones are better about hollow points, but I have no experience with them.

The best way to search is to go to google and enter: site:www.ar15.com cz 97b

That will give you what you are looking for, such as the thread below.

Mine's been 100%, although I've not fired any hollow points thru it. The trigger reach in DA mode is LOOOOONG, but in SA mode it's perfect, and one of the best triggers from the factory. It's a big frame, but perfect for range work, and one of the most accurate pistols I own.
