THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
I have a offer to trade 700 45acp reloads that I've pressed with a materials cost of 140-150 to me for a cz70 32acp with 2 mags. Would you? I'd get the gun, and give up ammo.

Agreed! I have a CZ70 and it's just not worth it. Shoot the ammo and enjoy it!

A CZ-50/70 will fetch ~$150 so if you want the gun it seems like a fair trade.

I own a CZ50 (simply because it is a CZ and I got a good great deal on it several years ago). It is not something I would go out of my way to acquire.

It is underpowered and overweight for a CC or HD piece.

Magazines and accessories are impossible to find.

It is unremarkable in terms of development or historical context.

It has NO sexy appeal like the Walther PPK

I have a CZ-50 and like it quite a bit. It's accurate and reliable and is very pleasant to shoot. The size, streamlined shape, and svelte design means to me that it DOES have the "romance" of guns like the PPK, even if it lacks the historical or engineering significance. I have a soft spot for the old, well-made, blowback .32s, though.

The only bad thing is the DA trigger is TERRIBLE.

I have owned four each CZ50s that I bought in West Germany in the late 80s and have found several 50s/70s in Iraq. The DA trigger is very heavy as stated but you can carry it cocked and locked if you also want ( I do since I carry 1911s). They can also sustain a diet of 71 gr FMJs at 1000 fps as mine did for years in Germany (Hirtenberger ammo). Walther PP 7.65mm magazines can also be used with 100% reliablity but not vis versa ( at least in my experience). Guns were designed with FMJ ammo in mind so remember that when trying JHPs. The CZ 70 was a attempt to restylize/face lift of the 50. Magazines are interchangable between the two models. Your call if they trade is good for you. You can always resale the CZ to recoup your loss. I do like mine.

Thanks everyone, I did make the trade. This cz still has 90% plus of the Finnish so I think it is a fair deal. I already have 32s so the ammo wasn't a concern since I just started reloading 32 for the wife's taurus milpro and a newly gotten and still unfired cz vz61 scorpion. That day trigger does suck as you all have said.

Another update, I traded the cz70 for a complete oly arms upper with bcg/ch. I put it on a new frontier complete polymer lower ($99). So that's a basic ar15 for $250, American pickers can suck it! Thanks for all the feedback guys.
