I picked up one of these at a show yesterday for $297 out the door. Feels good in the hand but the DA is a bit heavy but smooth. SA is nice.
The safety is a bit stiff still but is starting to loosen up a bit as I work it. I bought it for a truck gun/range toy but I'm starting to think I may carry it some.
Anyone else have one?

I have real one, from the early 90's, 9mm,  made of steel with wood grips...

It's similar to the CZ-75 family. They are good guns.

I have a tangfolio in .380.

Sharp, nasty, unlikable recoil.  Heavy gun, shitty recoil.

Not a fan, but inherited when my mom passed.

If it's the small frame,  then yes.

I've got both a small and large frame gun, along with a bunch of extra barrels, slides, mags, etc.
Calibers include 22LR, 9mm, 357 Sig, 38 Super, 40 SW, 10mm, 40 Super, 41AE, and 45ACP.

Like all stock guns of this platform, EAA Witness/CZ75/Canik/Jericho, etc. the DA really serves as a safety device.  Carry it condition one and forget it!

I picked up two used Witnesses.  One was a full sized 38 Super and the other a polymer full sized frame, shorter slide 10mm....

The two slides will swap, so if I want, I can shoot the 10mm on the heavier frame of the 38 Super....

The one I have is okay... granted, I tend to pick ammo that has more ... ump.  I have some old ammo that cycles well in it and in my long slide Glock.  I can "feel" the difference between weak 10mm vs strong.  Granted, my Witness polymer 10mm was used.....

I saw one like mine today in a local pawn shop marked $379, new. I paid almost $100 less for mine. No wonder the guns in that shop don't move very quickly.

Is the decocker the main difference between the FAB 92 and the "regular" full size version? (apart from the 4.3" vs. 4.5" barrel length)

I bought 2 SAR K2P's for guns to stay in my shops. DA triggers are a bit heavy, the half cock notches really help the DA though. Mec-Gar 19rd CZ magazines work great in them! Seem accurate enough too.

I've got one that I picked up new for 299... I'm amazed how well it shoots, and is good to go for the price. Only downside is the sites are not adjustable

The 17 round Mec-Gar mags with the blue follower for a CZ-75B fit flush and lock the slide back. CDDN runs them on sale for $19 or so quite often.

I know im late to the party, but I too own a Tanfoglio Witness in .40 S&W. Its a 90's steel frame that I bought used for like $200. Trigger seems to have been worked over once upon a time. Possible my favorite gun and second in accuracy only to my match 1911. There will be more of these fine pistols in my future.

I picked up a Springfield P-9 in .40 back in '02. Only .40 P-9 if ever seen in person.
After polishing the internals, no seat or hammer work, it's a pretty smooth shooter. Both SA and DA.

A truly overlooked gem of a design

Bought a Witness small frame(plastic) with a 4.3" barrel, takes 16 +1 in the mag , got 500 9mm fmj rounds of Fiocchi with it'
Shot very well, no ftf or hang ups, and very accurate, down to 50 rounds and decide on Federal bulk pack (price), what a miserable awakening, Federal does not cycle the gun, can only shoot one shot at a time.
returning ammo to Federal, guess I will have to stick to Fiocchi.

Bought a Tanfoglio Witness Steel Compact in 45ACP 2 months ago, it's headed back to factory.

Firing pin is stuck in it's channel, won't come out.

Did this 2-3 times during first 250-300 rounds but always corrected itself.

Worst part of it was calling EAA Service. Lady that answered is not a Technician, didn't ask anything about problem,

just said ship it back.

And I'm expected to pay shipping both ways. That's a crock.

Was planning to buy a Witness Steel Full size in 10mm, not anymore.

Bought one about a month ago. Haven't shot it yet, but it feels great and the fit and finish are great. These pistols don't get mentioned enough when talking about cheaper priced pistols, don't know if people don't buy them because of the cheap price this king they are him hi-point like, or they just dont about them.

I gonna pick up another one or two just 'cause.

Auto correct. Sorry about that. Was trying to say I wonder if people don't buy them because of the cheap price and think they are hi-point like guns. These a leaps and bounds ahead of hi-point.

Try it in your holster and see if the edges around the checkering and the checkering on the grip are sharp. Mine were. It was like carrying a cheese grader on my belt. A simple fix but annoying.

I have a 9mm and it jambs like crazy. I have changed mags, ammo, polished the feed ramp, lubbed the hell out of it, and I'm at about 800 rds. Down to maybe 3 malfucntions per mag.

Unless ss someone here has another suggestion, I'm gonna try some different recoil springs and chalk it up as junk if that doesn't fix it. I would call it a range gun, but it jambs so much that is more frustration than it's worth.

After the other troubleshooting you've done, I'm willing to bet the recoil spring is your culprit.

I'd take a few lbs off and see what happens.

That has been my experience with my Poly 10mm compact.  Might buy a .38 Super slide and mag, and then sell the 10mm.  Still going to play with power factor and cartridge length, but not too happy with it so far.
