THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT Nice weather at the range, low 50's and not a cloud in the sky. Prior to hitting the range I cleaned the weapon of all the packing grease and used Rem oil. The pistol felt solid in my hand and aimed naturally. The finish on the pistol is a little rough, not a lot of attention to buffing or polishing. For ammo I used Federal 115 gr. FMJ. This stuff is 20 years old and had been stored in my basement. Yes, some the jackets had turned green. 400 rounds and 2 hours later, not a single FTE or FTF. About 180 rounds in, on a magazine change, one magazine did not want to stay seated. It just kept sliding back out. I cycled the slide forward once and locked it back again. Same magazine went and stayed in without any further issues. The accuracy of this pistol is very good. Very close in accuracy to my old duty H&K P7 PSP. I tend to shoot slighty high and to the left of the bulls eye with this weapon. If you want a fun, acurate and reliable pistol, this is it. For this price point, I am very happy with this purchase. |

Then knowing my price point I started looking at te clones. Star, FEG, and Kareen, then I happened upon the Arcus. I read a lot of favorable reports regarding accuracy and reliability. I even read it being described as "over built" (please explain to me how that is a bad thing). I located one on line for $308 incl. shipping to NJ. I got an Arcus 98dac about 2 weeks ago. It beats both of my BHP's Mk3 and both of my CZ75's in accuracy. I was very pleased with it. I also had no malfunctions. |

Buds. Be careful as only the 13 round Arcus have magazines compatible with the BHP. The 15 round Arcus will not take the BHP mag.
