I'm thinking more and more I need one of these... still kicking myself for selling my CZ52 a few years back. I really like the 7.62x25 tok cartridge.

I remember when AIM had some TT33s a few years back. Not a bad price on 'em either... but my finances were in the shitter..

I picked one of those up a while back. I bought 4 spam cans of surplus ammo when it was cheap. Looks like the supply is a bit hit and miss lately.
The surplus ammo I have is the most corrosive Ive shot. Shoots good, but I make sure to clean my gun at the range. If you get any corrosive ammo take a bottle of Windex to the range with you for a quick bore cleaning and soakdown. The ammonia in the Windex neutrilizes the corrosive salts in the primers. Then clean with plain dishsoap and hot water when you get home and oil it back up. |

Taking it out to shoot, this weekend!
End of December, they had 1500 of these, they are already down to 35! Wow, that was fast. Glad I got a nice one, while they had them. |

Shot the Tokarev yesterday, cool gun.
Shot 6 mags, no issues, easy to shoot. Nice, 60 year old pistol for the money. |

Years ago, I put a shot through a creosoted new RR tie and was sold on them. This was a doggy captured Russian.
Since then I've accumulated 7 Toks; 3 Poles & 4 Chinese 213s. I converted 2 of the Chinese to shoot both 9 & 7.62 I was lucky to also find a 38Super kit that hasn't been tried out. I like em. Unfortunately, the unlimited supply of surplus ammo "dried up" but I have two spam cans of '80s Romanian that dosent crack like '53 stuff. |

Do you think a 1911 holster would fit the Tok?

If you shoot corrosive ammo throughi it CLEAN IMMEDIATLY. I left mine for 48 hours and thought I'd destroyed the barrel. Luckily, it did clean up OK.

I am actually looking at a Chinese with a conversion kit included - are they "reliable"? IE - is it worth it for the conversion kit, or is it more trouble than it is worth? Sorry 'bout the hijack. |

I will try and post some pics later, maybe. Just came back from the range with my M57 Tokarev from Wideners and this thing is more than worth the 200 bucks I spent on it. Shoots straight, very nice trigger. Of course it took a lot more work to get the cosmoline out of the trigger group and hammer assembly than I thought it would. two of the three new in bag Zastava mags feed well. The third is garbage. I am going to get a lot more ammo for it now that it works as well as it does.

My Poles have a smaller, neater safety. They may have been an earlier import. If I knew how, I'd send a picture.
I bought a Polish frame only with the big safety as shown in the picture and filed and reduced its' size. The safety was a rough casting with lousy checkering and looks a lot better now. A Chinese slide and miscellaneous Chinese TT33 parts from my parts collection were added and now it's a tight shooting pistol. |
