Shot mine yesterday. Recoil is snappy, to say the least. Felt like someone was hitting my fingers with a hammer every time I fired it.
Ran fine with Winchester PDX bonded 147 gr. JHPs, only one malfuction from limp wristing. Other than that, I like it so far, and it's more than acceptably accurate. I hope it holds together, after seeing all the horror stories about them. |

I put another 5-6 magazines through mine on Saturday with no issues. |

I really want to go this route for a pocket gun as I am not a fan of .380 and also don't want another caliber to stock if I can avoid it. But some of these reviews are making it tough. I know the early models were hit or miss but I've heard they have made some updates. Anyone have any word on the validity of this?

Put another 8 magazine through mine with zero malfunctions. Very accurate gun for being so small.

300 rounds of various brands, fmj and hp with 1 ftf due to limp wristing on purpose. I love mine, very accurate with great groups but does shoot a little low.

For those of you having issues - how has the customer service been?

Sent back my DB380 that was one of the first 1k guns they made, they "fixed" it and had it back in 1-2 weeks. 6 months later I requested that they replace the gun because it never worked after getting it back and they agreed. Since then both my DB380 and DB9 have been totally reliable. |

I know this is an old thread, but I'll give it a shot and see if anyone has any suggestions ...
I bought a DB9 and am having a lot of FTF issues. I can't make it through a magazine without one or sometimes two FTF's occurring. I've tried a variety of different ammo mfgs/grains/FMJ/hollow points; it does not seem to like anything I feed it. It seems like the cartridge is jumping up from the magazine rather than sliding smoothly up the ramp when it is being chambered. Does that make sense? Could it be a magazine issue rather than a gun issue? I only have one mag at this point so I can't test out that theory right now. Have any of you had this occur with your DB9's? I'll be emailing DB on Monday to get their thoughts as well. Thanks! Edit: I'm sure this may come up, 'cause I'm a girl; limp wristing does not seem to be the cause for FTF's, as it occurs when the hubby shoots it as well. |

Get another mag they had some issues with mags over the last couple of years. Also check to see if the bottom of your feed ramp is chipped/chipping. Mine chipped, I filed it flat and contoured it and since then have had no issues.

Limp writing isn't a girl issue it's a shooter issue. I've seen dudes limp wrist my buddys db9 with ftfs. Honestly limp writing is the only way I've seen these guns choke. Focus on locking your wrist out as much as possible. Not saying its not something else but just pointing out limp writing isn't gender specific.

DB service has been great so far! I bought some Hogue grips today which will hopefully help with grip. It does not seem to be a gun malfunction, which is a good thing. Fingers crossed that the new grips solve my problem, as I REALLY like this DB9.

Don't know about the DB9's, but me and my dad purchased DB380's at the same time, both of them had chronic FTF/FTE failures (roughly two per mag)
Mine did not even make it to the 200rd "break in" bullshit, the trigger mechanism BROKE and it would not fire PERIOD Dads made it past 200rds, but still did not function reliably Both of them went back to Diamondback, Mine had to be replaced, and Dads was rebuilt Once my replacement came back I sold it immediately I will never own another DB product |

We recently just sold the DB9. We tried everything DB suggested but were never able to fix the FTF problem. Since we had yet to get through an entire magazine without a failure we wanted to cut out losses, so it's gone. I really, really wanted to make it work as the size was absolutely perfect and I loved the way it felt in my hands. But I can't have a gun that won't perform perfectly when I need it. Oh well.

I got 2 DB9s. My favorite carry gun. After sending the first one back to DB (great CS) for a tight chamber, it's been flawless. Can't beat the weight and size for any 9.

DB is no good IMO. My buddy bought a DB 380 and it jammed like crazy. For some reason, he gave it to his sister for self defense and bought a new one...That one the internals busted apart in his hand while shooting. He sent it back and got a new one, BRAND NEW one replacement. This one cant get through a mag without a malfunction. Here is a vid of me and him shooting my CZ82 and his DB 380.

Noticed my dealer had them the other day for $40 off their regular price. No they have not solved that. My buddy had one and the internals nearly exploded in his hand while shooting, his second wont feed FMJ or JHP properly and he jams every single mag. They are shit guns. |

The whole DB Lineup is shit, if you think otherwise, you sir, spread the ignorance. |
