So I have an XD-40 ported model, but now since I have my CHL and am carrying it everyday, I am thinking it would be best to get a non-ported barrel. This is so I dont get blinded or lose my hearing if I am in an actual self defense situation. I called SA customer service and they told they will not sell me a factory barrel and that they only replace barrel for warranty issues. This just seems real dumb to me. Can an SA dealer get the barrels?

I am trying to avoid paying the $150+ for a stainless aftermarket barrel.
