THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Took the new Range Officer to the range and put it through the paces @ 25 yards on a cold/rainy day.

Fired 250 rounds –– everything from 200 gr. XTPs, 230 FMJ, 230 LRN, rounds in about 6 different charges.

The only hiccup was a stove-piped case on the last round of a very light LRN string. Actually one of the mags let the slide close after the last round twice. I marked the mag, not a single issue with two other Springfield 7-rounders.

Groups varied with various loadings and ranged from 1.75" to 3.25", with 2" grouping being the most common.

So, after owning a pair of Colt 1991s (one was a Compact), and a Kimber, but being 1911-less for going on 10 years, I feel good about the Springfield RO's reliability and accuracy.

Note: on my gun, the barrel bushing could be removed by hand with a little work, I've heard there are tighter ones. I'm thinking of a match bushing to make it even tighter.

I love mine as well. Very accurate, and the weight makes recoil very manageable.
Yesterday, I was on the train sitting across from a smoking hot Thai chick. I kept saying to myself, please don't get an erection, please don't get an erection, but, she did.

You may not see any accuracy increase if you go with a custom fit bushing. Reads like the bushing is fit the way it needs to be and your groups reflect that.

What do you think of the trigger?

(I, too, would like to buy the R.O.)
