It's not as fancy as many posted here, but here's mine.
I was gifted a 686 (no dash, no M) 6" about a year ago. I put less than 1/2 box of ammo through it and decided that it was going to do nightstand duty or get traded off unless I start pig hunting again. It just didn't do anything for me and I've got better carry options. I was surfing Ebay one day and found a 4" barrel for less than $50. I wouldn't be out much if it didn't work, so I snagged it.....best change I've ever made to a firearm. It's now one of my favorites and gets carried often. I don't have many wheel guns. This is my 64 I bought as a rough trade in. Refreshed the lock work and had it blasted. Polished up the hammer and trigger surfaces that ride the frame and same with the rebound spring housing. Did not and will not stone any sear surfaces. It's well within factory pull specs but oh so smooth.

Carried one on duty for 15 years, and it and I qualified with a max score every yearly qualification. Dry fired that thing so many times, I could probably hit a target with my eyes closed from muscle memory alone. |
