Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Early S&S M&P serial # question

My father recently gave me his S&W 38 Military & Police Model of 1905 - 4th Change.
I believe it dates from around 1930.  The serial is 4252XX.  Can anyone here give me a rough idea when it was made?

No preceding letter? If not and just numerical, it likely shipped between 1923-1924.
