Local shop has a Beretta Stampede in .45 lc. It's case hardened with the faux ivory grips. He's asking $475. It's in very nice condition , but I know nothing about the reputation of the Stampede. Thanks.

Beretta quality.  Transfer bar system.  I have a color case hardened one and an Inox.

Always wanted one but couldn't afford at the time, then production stopped.

What the barrel length?

Transfer bar and the trigger isn't really like a proper model 1873.

If you are ok with that then they are fine guns.

I think they are actually made by Uberti.  I had two, one blue and color case, one nickel.  They have a reputation for the lockwork being a bit fragile, but that's probably from Cowboy Action Shooters.

My nickel gun had a VERY nice action.

Meant to ask you. Which shop? Did you get it?

I might have a holster for it too

Found a better deal on a (barely) used Blackhawk in .45 Colt.

That would be correct.

As I understand it, Beretta dropped this model due to slow sales. IIRC, Uberti had the same type model for $75~ less. Guess which one buyers opted for?
