Here's the start to my S&W collection. The 5" I bought last summer. The two snubs I bought last week. The 629-1 3" is a Lew Horton. Received a nice letter from them confirming that. I'm still slightly confused because the letter says it's 1/1200 but the 3rd edition of the S&W book says in one spot 8000 were made and in another 5000. They are very accomadating. Just thought I'd share. On another note I'm on the look out for some original S&W hogue grips with the silver medallions for the 5". Thanks for all the support that's available here.

Very nice!  I especially like the 5-inch.  A 5-inch 629 is on my short list of revolvers I want to get.  Need a good 44 Revolver to go with my Rossi M92.

I was watching two 5" 629's the other day on gunjoker thinking if they stayed low enough I'd add another one but they got stupid.

Nice collection. I especially like the 5inch. If it were mine, I would put some RB to SB conversion grips on it and set the originals back to keep them safe.

Unfortunately the grips on the 5" are fake Thailand special. I'm looking for some different grips now. I've thought about some Culiba's for it and some SB conversions would look great.

While everybody else likes the 5", I'm a real fan of the 629 in 3", especially with that rounded grip. The 66 I carried as a cop back in the day had that same grip profile and the factory grips were some of the most comfortable things I ever held on a gun.

I love the factory S&W combat grips. I wish they weren't an arm and a leg to buy.

5" N frame .44s are as close to perfection as I am likely to ever find.

I'm a sucker for 2.5" barreled minty Smith in .38spec, .357, and .44mag... Nice collection OP! I wouldn't part with any of those fine pieces! I'm digging the combat grips on the 2.5" and 3" pistols! Thanks for sharing...
