Have a Taurus Judge that shoots well for me, particularly with the PDX loads to 15-20 yards... but have a need to shoot .45 lc big lead (target, varmints) and
.45 lc ammo keeps climbing in price  (lots of soft Cowboy loads - some too light ) so what is a good, consistent Load worth the $.80-1.00 / round (!) they are asking ?
Looking 850 -950 fps, no more since I am not sure this Judge can handle hotter loads.

For instance,  The S & B 255 gr load ?

Thank you!

IMHO,  You should start reloading for the 45 Colt.   It is a very easy cartridge to load.  255 grain bullet over Hogdon Universal.
Get some Lee Dies and their basic press.
