Ive owned these pistols since the 80's and early 90's     I haven't shoot them in a FOREVER .... Son is 16 .So it's time to get him revolver training ... Man those baby's was pussy cats.... I shot 38's and .357 through them and for me hardly even noticed any kick...  I was thinking these pistols was going to move me around. Like I said it's been a long time .1992 I do believe ...  I want to get a Ruger Gp100 match champion  and run it like I stole it ....... Just wanted to share .. WD

If I could only own one .357 it would be a S & W 4" 686.

I have 586 and wish I would have gotten the Lew Horten 3" round butt in 86.
Friend had it but I never shot it.

Reminds me that I bought a gently used 586 2-3 years ago & haven't shot it yet.........

686 took me through police academy and first year on the street.  Awesome gun.

I generally bring my 686 when I teach pistol class . Even the folks who claim no interest in revolvers mostly like it and shoot it well
