A guy I work with is selling his old model 15-3, it's in decent shape a lot of bluing worn off from holster wear. I'd say it's in 60% shape. He wants $325 is that a fair price? Thanks.

I paid $300 for this 15-4 in 2013. It actually doesn't look as good as it does in the picture. (Lots of glare hiding the holster wear.) It is my favorite .38 to shoot.

That is a great price for a model 15 in my area, older S&W revolvers are getting harder to come by in my area.

Thanks for the replays, it's in slightly worse shape than the pic above. I'm gonna offer him $300
Older smiths are a rarity around where I live, they hardly ever show up for sale.

If it is original, even with serious wear, it is well worth $325.

This. And then send it off to have it po-fessionally reblued to make it like new.

Buy it. Send it back to S&W for a refinish. That is what I would do. Or just buy it and shoot the snot out of it. Either way, buy it!

Offer $300, but even $325 is a good price and you should snag it regardless.
