Colt Python, Colt Boa, Colt SAA, Colt Walker, Korth Combat, and S&W 27, 29, 57, 386PD, 500, Scofield. If I had to narrow it down to one, it would be a tie between the Korth and a Colt Python with that special factory tuned action.

Don't know if you were referring to my Redhawk but it was completely torn apart and redone by Cylinder and Slide close to 20 years ago for me. Don't know about the Bowens but mine shoots lights out and has a trigger better that almost anything I've ever felt single or double action.

I always thought the Smolts and bowen classic did a redhawk with an anaconda barrel. Pretty interesting.

Looks like in the video I posted on the last page, it would be annoying to load if you were trying to quickly. But very cool.

+1 for the Model 19. I have one just like it.

However, I think the coolest is the classic Colt SSA.

Cool Yes, Revolver No...
S&W had a hand to play in the production of them.
S&W also makes an AR-10 and yet that does not make it appropriate for a "Cool Revolver" thread...

Saw this interesting revolver over at Shoot Times.  Seems like a pretty interesting, even cool, looking revolver.

Hard not to like the old ppc revolvers, they're extremely accurate along with triggers to die for. Schneider built my s&w model #10 ppc revolver, it's provided me with countless hours of quality range time.

A couple of 357's that flat out shoot. Pictured with 1 of their favorite plinking loads, a 110gr wc (h&g #41) in 357 cases with a light load of bullseye powder. Their only doing 1300fps+ but like I said it's nothing more than a plinking load.

The dan wesson (top) has had a trigger job done on it by a local gunsmith along with a custom (1 in 10 twist) bbl and heavy bbl shroud along with a muzzle break. The extra weight + muzzle break allows this pistol to eat fullhouse 357's (158gr/170gr bullets) like peanuts but yet the recoil is like shooting a 22lr. Liked the 6" version enough that I had a 4" bbl'd version built. Nothing better than a ammo can full of 158gr cast hp with 8.0gr of power pistol in 357 mag cases and the dw's at the range to beat and bang on steel, dueling trees, bowling pins.

The s&w 686 competitor (bottom) has been impressive since day 1. Good trigger right out of the box and the adjustable weights allow the user to really dial this revolver in for the front sight picture/recoil/recovery & follow-up shots. I like a certain ammout of muzzle flip and the weights allow me to adjust the amount of flip for the load. Basically, I can take them out and shoot standard 38spl loads (save on powder/3.5gr vs 8.0gr per shot) and then put a couple of them back and shoot standard 357 loads or put them all back and shoot hot 357 loads. The end result is the same felt recoil and the same muzzle flip. And taking about 38spl loads, I haven't done allot of load development for the 686. But I did manage to come up with these last year. Really no need to go any further.

Found those loads and haven't bother to test for anymore. Those came from 2 of my favorite bullets, the h&g #50 wc and the micec 640 158gr hp. And no it isn't all fun and games, good quality revolvers don't ='s accuracy. And a bunch of junk for groups that looked like this.

Or worse, like this. Was looking for a 357 plinking load and kept getting groups like this, 5 in and 1 out with that h&g #41 110gr wc.

Then it hit me, my brass was junk!!! To old, shot too many times, 1 piece of brass would have a good solid feel to it when sizing it. The next piece of brass would'nt have any resistance at all. Ended up sorting thru them and tossing 3/4's of them out and bought 2,000 pieces of new 357 brass from starline.

Just a couple of revolvers that I enjoy taking to the range.

One of my Smith's, a 1967 Model-29 un-fired. The interior of the case has been redone.

Two different answers:

For absolute cool factor, I say the Colt Python.

For practical use, I say a S and W M and P R8.

The last design of Emilio Ghisoni. The same man that designed the Metaba. He passed away in 2008. The Rhino came out in 2009.

My favorite revolvers are those that are utilized and have that "been there, done that" look about them. To that end, I humbly submit my own that is "still there, still doing it", as recently as a couple of weeks ago (bottom photo)
