After reading a thread here about .22lr revolvers and learning of the Model 63, I just had to have one.

Luckily (for me, not my wallet) the LGS happened to get one in on consignment. It's a mid-80's, dash 1 (though the frame isn't stamped as such).
I can't wait to get it to the range.

I carried one for years as a small game gun. I took dozens of porcupines, snowshoe hare, ruffed grouse and more than a few woodchucks with it. Out standing little gun. Nice find.

Great gun for introducing new shooters to the sport.

I have one and it shoots as well as my K22.

Using it for instruction was my main reason for wanting it. My Single-Six is just too slow to reload to keep some people interested.

Not a fan of the Pachmeyers but the gun is awesome- I'd love to have one myself.

Sweet  I used to have its louder brother the model 651 4" in .22 WMR. Enjoy your new revolver.

This is what my friend had at the range last year and I was in love with that thing.  I have to admit, I love shooting .22 handguns.  They make me feel good about my shooting.  But this thing was so much fun and accurate.  Even in DA I was hitting stuff at 25 meters that I thought I would miss.

Ok, I'll play. How can it be a dash 1 when the frame isn't stamped as such?

Because the barrel isn't pinned and the serial number puts it outside the manufacturing dates of the non-dash revolvers.

>>Not a fan of the Pachmeyers<<

Yeah, you really need to get some "real" grips on that thing.

Throw the grips in the trash.
