I am looking at badger grips for my gp100 for concealed carry. Sometimes I shoot hot 357 out of this gun. Is it ridiculous to assume I can comfortably control the gun with my pinky hanging off?

^^^^ ETA not my pic

That revolver has lots of good weight and those boot grips look like they would fill up the hand despite being too short for your pinky.  I suspect recoil is going to cause more muzzle flip to be a bit worse than full size grips but I would be not much worse with practice.

Yep.  I'm betting you'll get lots of muzzle flip with those short smooth grips.

Try it and see --- its a pretty havy chunk of steel .     Grips do look A little out of scale , but carrying concealed isnt a fashion show.    My pinky hangs off the bottom of my glock 29.   It has quite a bit of pop with full zoot loads too,  but no control issues (apples to oranges comparison due to grip angle and oher factors, i know)

I ran 450 magnum rounds through a 3" GP at a class last weekend using a pair of Compact Lett's.

the first cylinder or two will have a steep learning curve.  It will depend on how fast you are trying to shoot, just relax take your time learn the feel of the new grips there is no reason control can't be learned through familiarity.

Just hang on.  The gun will be fine.

I have the same gun.  Fired it with the small stock grips without issue.  Changed to full sized Hogues and liked it much better.

You will be fine ,I have a 4" 629 with boot grips on it.
I wrap my pinky up over the bottom instead of letting it dangle.

3" GP100 with Eagles (the Badgers were too "blocky" for my hands) like that and it's just fine.
