Do not give into the temptation and hold out for a 581 or 681. The gun S&W should never have stopped making as far as revolvers go. Oh, BTW they have four inch barrels.

I like adjustable sights so I say get the 86.

Some say the nickel adds value. Some say it's less than blued value. I believe the latter.
Around here, a dealer would probably ask $600 for it. It would probably sell for $550, IMO. My .o2 |

My .o2 Depends on the buyer too --- nickel for me is highly desirable --- i would entertain 600-650 on that thing, if in good shape --- any flakes would be a no-go and would reduce the price a bunch though |
