My 642-2 has those grips with a built-in laser.  They're marked Smith and Wesson.
I'm guessing that you could order them from S&W.

If you want a fully-covered backstrap, Hogue now has a "Tamer" Monogrip for the Bodyguard and Centennial.

You mean specifically that don't have finger grooves like that? I bought some Sile rubber grips that DO have finger grooves that DO cover the back strap and I'm pretty sure Pachymayr makes some to.
ETA:
Pachmayr Compac Grip S&W J Frame Round Butt Revolvers Rubber Black 03252

Pachmayr's Compac Grips are made from a specially formulated black rubber compound and are designed to maintain concealability. Although compact in design, Compac Grips still give a shooter total control, Compac Grips provide a secure, non-slip finish. That's why they are the plainclothes officer's preferred way to a more positive grip without compromising concealability. Features: - Shaped to conform to gun design- Improved concealability- Covered back strap#03252 S&W J Frame Round Butt
____________
The "Gripper" style does to.

This is my recommendation.  The different frame shapes mean the bodyguard grip style might not translate as well as you wish.  But Ahredns are always a good option as well.

If you do decide to go wit the t grip, look up...bk grips, I think they're called?  Same concept, cheaper, but made out of resin, and you won't wait 4 months to get your product.

i have the gripper.  it and the other pachm grrip you mention do cover the backstrap but do not cover up all the way up high like the grip of the gun in the OP

btw, does that smith in the OP have a different ejector? looks like it maybe has a longer ejector rod than a Jframe???

That's a side benefit.  The real purpose is that it contains the retention mechanism holding the Tamer stock on the revolver's frame.

I just order the Revised S&W 3 finger combat grip a while back.  I hate boot grips !

I love it,  perfect high grip and able to pocket carry using wrangler cargo shorts.

Its like the older version on the M640M649 but thinner wedge shape to it

BTW doesn't  fully go up all the way up the back.   Even so when I grip my M642 my web covers the top of it.

Interesting

Tha tis a great idea making the butt of the grip non tacky.  I have to have one.

the pachmyer gripper is excellent, I modified one by shifting the finger grooves up and shorteining the butt a little, still have a pinky rest, but the back strap is a little too low for the webbing of my R hand.  Funny how noticable it is, b/t my hands.

Have you guys tried pocket carry with this 3 finger grip while wearing cargo pants or shorts.

I'm able to pocket carry with the Revised S&W 3finger combat grip. But this grip looks like it would be even softer shooting.

I hate small 2 finger grips with a passion !
Shooting with my weaker hand  and doing Bill Drills suck.
Shooting  200rds suck..
My accuracy and speed improved greatly when using the 3 finger combat grips.

emagoda:
I put that high back strap tamer on a 638 actually, thats a shrouded hammer model.  Words fine.  In fact it like magic tits that spay cash squeezed  Finally,  a grip that lets me put the webing where I want w/ a backstrap.  Also has this awesomme blue elastomer pad inside behind the top of the back strap.  This makes me whish I still had my scandium 357 centennial. Thank you Hogue!

Bigger than a boot grip, obviously, so it might not be ideal for pocket carry, but I'm loving it.

it alsw fits on the newfangle "bodyguard" 5 shot smiths, not he metal j frames.  There are these little plastic inserts you use for fitment.
