1970 Ruger Super Blackhawk.  Mag-na-Ported, then hard-chromed by Wilson Combat in the mid 80's.  Hunted with it a few years.  Very Accurate.

Nice. My 1860 is ridiculously accurate.

How do you like the cimarron? I keep meaning to pick up an 1873 clone but can't decide on .45 colt vs .357. I load for both but I load a lot more .38/357. What I guess I need is to find a .45 acp/colt 73 clone.

In just casual finger-banging (haven't had them out, yet), the fit and finish seems good enough.  I think there are some obvious things that may stand out if you've got some Ubertis (wood fit and such), but I'm not really a nit-picker.  It has an interesting feel to the action.  It has a traditional 4-click action that feels very slick/light.  Not sure if that's standard for a Pietta or of these are "special" Cimarron parts.  Trigger pull is heavier than the hammer pull would have you believe.

Pic thread - Got a Uberti 1851 Navy .36 in the other day.

"FAKE NEWS"

. . . . .  it's my Taylor's with  these grips.

I still need to carefully fit/blend them to the frame

Picked up this Cimarron/Pietta Frontier .357 from Grab-a-Gun Wednesday (grip refinish already in progress)...

Found this Taylor's/Uberti Short Stroke Smoke Wagon in .357 with the polished action option at the gun show today.  Interesting action I've never played with before, but it's very nice.

Just picked up (from a member here) a very nice Taylor's 5½" .357 Smoke Wagon to go with the 4¾" .45 Colt Smoke Wagon I bought in September.

If the .357 shoot as good as the .45 I'll be in hogleg heaven.

I've been watching a guy on YouTube making holsters (Road Agent Leather) and watched him make a "Hand of God" holster and belt, as well as many others; Johnny Ringos rig, Doc Holidays cross draw and shoulder holster among others.

I've fallen down the rabbit hole many nights and stayed up till 2-3 am watching but, the man is truly an artist and I decided that the "Hand of God" rig is definitely my goal someday.

As you said: a work of art!

I’ve got a pair of the 38-40’s with 5.5” barrels. They started out life as a pair of 7.5” guns that Bob Munden reworked for SASS competition. Not for me, for a previous owner. The guns actions are too light for my tastes though. I’ve contacted a specialized gunsmith to see what can be done to return the actions close to factory as well as returning one of them to the original 7.5” configuration. The idea is to have a set of 4,5 & 7” nickel 38-40’s.
