This Taylor & Co 1873 in .357 is my divorce present to myself. My ex accused me of DV in order to get the upper hand in the divorce. The charges were finally dropped last week, so I was able to go get it, as well as pick up the Rossi .30-30, which the FFL had been holding for me since all this started back in October. It feels good to be a free man once again.

I have like it, about the same vintage. But mines a 44 Special.

This thread seems pretty dead.

Here's my contribution

Ruger blackhawk 357
Two grip frames from Ronnie D Wells
Both brass, with modified trigger
Xr300 with maple grips and a dealer with walnut. Both are a huge improvement over the stock frame.

I love those spalted  maple grips.  ;)

I wish there was a way to check out the various Wells grip frames in person.

I have a couple more I need to drag out and get pics of, but here is some fairly recent stuff.

I really need to set up for better pics with better backgrounds and lighting, but for now …

This one is my only new model Ruger.  44 Special Flat Top, Belt Mountain base pin, Powers Bisley hammer and trigger, reblued in a high polish blue, and the icing on the cake … Persinger ivory grips.

These two were done by Matt Grabbe, (formerly) head gunsmith at Tyler Gun Works.

The Single Six was pretty beat up, but this version in 4 5/8 is fairly uncommon and it’s a birth year Gun for me.  Matt fixed a lot of ugly, polished and sealed the grip frame, case colored the frame, tuned the gun, and reblued it and added a nice set of Ruger grips.

The Super Blackhawk (44 Magnum) was tuned, barrel cut to 5 inches, Fermin Garza front sight, Bowen rear sight, case color frame, polished and sealed grip frame, and reblued with walnut grips.

Oooh, nice!  I've always wondered about getting a Keith No. 5 style grip frame for my convertible Blackhawk flattop, or get a longer 1860 style grip frame (vs the shorter Navy style which seems to be more standardized).
I don't recall anyone making a birdshead "Man with No Name"; did you inlay that snake on your own?

Rescue Ruger New Model Blackhawk .357

Was given this revolver, it looked like it had been stored in a tackle box for a few years, but the bore and charge holes were GTG.
The pitting was so bad I had to start clean up by draw filing.

So after many hours of polishing and refinishing, a Bisley grip frame conversion, barrel shortened to 5.5”, banded front sight with brass rod bead, rust blue and case coloring. I was shooting for a “Bowenesque” look.Attachment Attached File

That six gun is beautiful!  Nice job.

Can you post a link in this thread to the Marlin project when you do it?

That’s my plan I didn’t take before photos of the Blackhawk before conversion but I will do a quasi tutorial for the Marlin.

Threw my "self defense center fire" guns in the light box.

.

Have a selection from, .45 Colt,  .357 Magnum, and .45 ACP.

Of course,  the cartridge conversion would be the last choice out of the bunch.

Honestly, call him up. He will talk your ear off. He has overlays he can show you with the different grip styles. His philosophy is that every single person has a different hand and geometry, so there should be a grip to fit.

SAA Texas Ranger Commemorative, even came with a matching TR cigar. The book is tanned cow covered and pretty interesting.

Set of Colt Anniversary SAA’s

Ruger for shooting stuff, 45 Colt / ACP.

My new (old model) Vaquero in .44 Mag--it arrived at 2:30 this afternoon and I picked it up at 4:30

I've been wanting this exact model since I first saw one in 1994.

Here she is with my 4" 686 (no dash, no M)
