Did anyone else bite when Bud's sent out that alert e-mail last Friday morning?
 Mine are here and no complaints –– one is decent and the other is very nice, both good values for the money. I know they sold out in a matter of hours, but I figure a few folks here probably ended up with some of them. Thought I'd ask.  (No, no pics yet...  ... some time this weekend, hopefully.)

I actually drove the 45 minutes to Lexington to look at some. Of the 4 they had on display, I passed. All 4 had rust and pitting on the crown and were in pretty rough condition.

Yep. I probably would have gone for it anyway, but I'm really hot after a nice model 15 for some of my popcorn reloads. |

There will be more...they are almost certainly the ex Aussie Police guns and they dumped thousands on the market. Very nice revolvers!

Here they are...
  Everything is solid and tight, I suspect they were carried much/shot little. I'll probably eventually refinish the rougher one, unless I trade it away, etc. I'll just put some better grips on the nicer one and leave it as-is. I particularly like 3" revolvers, so I'm pretty happy about these. |

I got one. They are pretty nice. They do have a lot of surface wear and dings but do not appear to have been shot much. The sticker came off easily without damage to the underlying finish. Yes these are austrailian police turn ins. They were the property of the Victoria police department. Apparently the guns have been sitting in customs for over a year sans firing pins. Bud's had to hire smiths to reinstall the pins before resale.

Mine is in excellent mechanical shape with a nice bore. The outside finish isn't rough, but it looks like you'd expect a blued handgun that's spent the last few decades being neglected by somebody from an upside-down country. I'm glad I bought it.

Not bad money these days. Models 10's have gone up in recent years. I collect Model 10's; anything decent and under 350 is getting hard to find. Three inch square butt is a pretty scarce variation.

My 3" 65 and 3" 586 are among my favorite revolvers, so I figured I'd like these even if they needed a little TLC. |
