I have come into a Ruger OM Single Six. It has an original set of Ruger grips on it, they are made of some sort of plastic, they are close to 60 years old. How can I care for them to make sure they don't dry out and crack? Is there some kind of oil I should put on them or some other "treatment"?

That's a good idea......We'll start there. Gun was made in 1958 and still has the OM action- not retrofitted to transfer bar style. Pretty neat old gun...
