This isn't about taking apart or putting these great pistols back together.

About how long do you take to clean these guns after shooting?

I spent more than an hour but I think I over do it because I have OCD about cleaning.  I try to remove every bit of carbon fouling that I can.  I am very gentle cleaning the bore so I am not worried that I am causing damage there.

I use eezox as a CLP, and I am going to get a boresnake to use as an initial step at the range and then follow up at home with a proper cleaning using patches and a brush.

Fifteen minutes maybe? Couple of passes with a bore snake, scrub the bolt and inside of the upper, scrub out the lower a little, dry, then a little oil.

The next time I shoot it I will try harder to limit my insanity

Some people find the task relaxing.  If that is you, then enjoy!
