Can the .45 lc/.45acp be had with a longer barrel than 5.5 inches?

The Ruger web site currently only shows 4 5/8 and 5 1/2.

I saw that. I saw a .357/9mm with a 6.5" but i would prefer to have the .45

You'll have to call them and schedule it, but Ruger will fit a .45 ACP cylinder to a 6 1/2" or 7 1/2" Blackhawk you already own.

Cost is around $200 plus shipping, and your local gun shop can get get better shipping rates that you can for a handgun.

They have.  Friend has one with a 7 1/2.  I suspect this is one of those models Ruger cranks out in batches from time to time.

Might check the various dealers like Lipsey, Williams, Talo, Davidsons....they usually have models not norm all available through Ruger.

I wanted a 5 1/2" stainless .45 when Ruger only made 7 1/2" and 4 5/8" so I got a 7 1/2" and had Ruger rebarrel it with a 5 1/2". I also asked for a .45 ACP cylinder. I also have one that I kept in 7 1/2", but I use the 5 1/2" a lot more. Just personal preference.

I got a Davidson's exclusive New Vaquero right before Sandy Hook... and glad I did when I did or I likely wouldn't have got it. Also picked up a Yugo Tokarev and Nagant revolver from J&G. Feel the same way about them and the spam cans of ammo for each.

Stainless, convertible, with 5.5" barrel. The shorter barrel might be nicer for Cowboy Action, but I don't. Wanted a SAA type revolver, and the conversion cylinder gives me more versatility. Looks good, too.

Yes, Ruger makes or at one time, made a 7.5 inch bbl .45 convertible.  My BIL has one and will not sell it to me.

This thread piques my curiousity since I tried to get Ruger  to put a .45 ACP cylinder on at Vaquero (not a NM), and they refused.  I have a SS 4.625 BH in .45 Colt.  I will contact them when I get the money, which will be in about a decade.
