In my opinion, my SR9c does fantastic with recovery and follow up. However, its more of a training and sight thing. If you train properly, you should be able to recover decently with most handguns.

+1 on training...mine shoots really well and recovery is minimal even in mag dumps. It was my edc until I picked up my 30s, now my girl uses it to practice because it is manageable. She likes it better than her Kahr. Lately she has been eye balling my 1911 commander though.

I own both and believe the response time to the next round down range is all a function of the shooter.  I am not the fastest on this block but can shoot the Rugers as fast as any other striker pistol  have I have shot.

Well I have the SR9c, haven't shot the full size yet, but the SR9 is about what you would expect for such a lightweight 9.  I think the recoil is very manageable, the sights are pretty much your standard 3 dot.  As others have said, it is more an issue of training and proper sight realignment than the gun itself-- just keep in mind that it is a pretty lightweight, compact handgun.  Obviously it will have more felt recoil than a full-size, steel-framed 9mm.  Just keep this in mind and properly train and you can run the SR9c as fast as you can be accurate with it-- and the gun is very accurate if you do your part.
