I'd love on for the woods/fishing.

I want Ruger to build one too. I would like it to be an LCRx though.

Yeah, I'd like that.
I've done the write the CEO thing several times with that as one of my suggestion s.  So far, slowly but surely, the stuff I have suggested gets built.  I think a three inch barrel and full finger grip would make the LcR one of the best woods guns extant.

The SP101 in 3" is perfect! Nice woods gun!

I dislike the heavy weight and higher price tag.

Since the SP101 comes in the 3" it does make me lean towards wanting the LCRx to come out in a 3.5" - 4" length. I completely agree on the hefty weight. The SP101 is a great gun but I do appreciate the lighter weight of the LCR. I do like the extra round that my .327 SP101 gets me though.

I have no doubt that full size polymer revolvers will be coming from Ruger and S&W eventually.

I hope Ruger listens.  Was watching their tv show drooling over their new GP100.  I wonder if there was any way to do a petition.

I guess I'm the odd duck out here, I just can't make myself like polymer revolvers over steel.  The GP is heavier but it's basically indestructible too which is more important to me plus it looks better.  I recently switched from a standard 3" GP100 to a 3" Wiley Clapp GP100.....I would rather carry the WC than the LCR.

I'm going to be in the minority on this as well. While a 3-4" barrel would make more sense for a .357Mag chambered gun, I think it takes the original LCR concept out of it's niche. Frankly, I think the "X" offering (exposed hammer) didn't make much sense either.

The LCR in .38spl+P is GREAT for what it is. A true "pocket gun" in every respect. The added weight with marginal improvement in ballistics from the .357Mag offering, the exposed hammer of the "X" model and any attempt to lengthen the barrel just detract from the perfection of the original design. If you want true .357Mag performance (you will need a barrel length > than 2") and an exposed hammer get a GP100 or SP101.

Anyway, just my opinions. This is America so get what you want.

I don't want to double the weight of a lightweight gun.

They finally did it!

I really want a 357 though.

I have an SP101 in 4". Now that's as close to perfect as you are gonna get for a back packing / trail gun. The LCR & LCRx are nice for EDC, but suck to shoot more than a 10 or so .357 Magnums. The 2.25" SP101 is a mere 3oz. heavier than a Glock 19, if that's too heavy for you, you really need to eat your Wheaties, hit the gym and buy a better belt. I think the 3" LCR is the answer to a problem that does not exist. Especially only available in 38 Special +P. Give me a 2.25" SP101 with 125Gr. 357 Magnums any day of the week.

I've handled the 38, not bad. Would feel pretty wicked with a wood grip. Feels like a 3 inch GP100 without the weight. Once they do it in 357 it'll make for a nice carry revolver.

A 16 ounce 357 mag.  No.  Not even a little bit interested.

A .22LR  like that would be a pretty nice set-up as well.

I'd jump on a .32 Fed/H&R mag  in a heartbeat.
