I was looking for a slightly used, 6-shot .357 3" and my local gun shop had just taken one in on a trade, according to serial - late 2012. I was just curious, does the Wiley Clapp model include a trigger job along with the other mods? I'm not really familiar with Ruger so I wouldn't feel the difference. Seems to be a solid revolver, can't wait to shoot it tomorrow.

A couple of light surface scratches and wood nicks, but overall very good condition. Paid $525, sound fair?

The triggers are better than other GP100's. I snagged my first because I was so impressed with it. I compared triggers SxS with my S&W 681PC.  I was even more impressed. Took it to the range and ran 200 hot 125gr 357 mag rounds through it in about 45 minutes and then another 50 38's to finish out the hour. After that I bought a second Wiley Clapp and sold the 681PC.  I think that says a lot.

Great score.

Good deal.  I paid $700 new for mine.  I doubt I'd let it go for less than that, whoever traded it took a beatdown I'm sure.

Damn... Congrats on the great deal.  I paid $750 for my WC and love it.  Going to pick up one of the black ones soon I think.

It would be nice if they'd make them in 4in barrels as well.

You got a good deal.

The Wiley Clapp has the same factory trigger as every other GP100, they are totally stock according to Ruger.  I compared my stock 3" GP100 to my Wiley Clapp and the triggers are exactly the same as they said.  Most people still say that Ruger's don't have good triggers but they are those who obviously haven't touched a Ruger in the last decade.  You'll find most people very pleased with modern (as in the last 15 years or longer) Ruger triggers.

That's a heck of a price for a WC, I'm guessing the issues with the finish on that gun probably knocked the price down but regardless, it's a great price.  You made a great deal!

Wow. Looks great.  I always thought the GP100 looks kind of "homely" but this makes it look quite slick.

No. It's not a full under lug barrel.
