I have recently got my hands on a new sr45 and I love it. I was curious how the retention is on that holster? Is it pretty secure?

Very secure, it's not coming out unless you want it to.

Is it molded for safety on ? I don't care for it so I don't use it.

Actuallly it's molded for safety off (I just noticed that). I've been carrying it safety on and apparently it makes it bulge just the tiniest amount but doesnt affect anything.

I'm surprised at how difficult it is to find a quality holster for this great 45. At the time, ended up with a Fobus plastic POS holster. it works for when I go to Skills/Drills training at the range, but that's about it.

Bought a used M12 US Army flap holster for my SR9. Holds my SR9 better than I expected and rides well on my surplus Enhanced Load Bearing Vest.

Mine is molded with the safety on. I carry it with the safety off though just fine.
