THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
I have a Stainless II with the ext. extractor in .45 ACP. It feeds, fires and ejects without a hitch but...........
With Rem 230 FMJ it's leaving firing pin drag marks on the primers, not deep ones but my other 1911's don't do this.
It looks like it's trying to unlock to soon while the firing pin is still on the primer. This gun is fitted with a squared bottom
firing pin stop w/ a small radius and I thought that would delay unlocking slightly but maybe not ? It also has a wolff XP
firing pin spring and a 16# recoil spring, maybe I need a 18.5# recoil spring ?
Anyone had similar problems with a 5" 1911 ?
Thanks
