I'd personally consider the CDP or the Crimson Carry.

I like the looks of the Eclipse , the weight is both a plus and minus.
The new Super Carry or CDP probably if I had to ... |

i used to carry my ultra raptor(desantis IWB) before i bought a PPS. i believe personal preferance is key here. but the carry melt option is definitely one to consider!

Kimber SIS if I planned to shoot it, Kimber CDP if not. However, moot as I have a 4" I'm content with.

The SIS Ultra, if you can find one. It's a Series 70 set-up and all steel frame and slide, to absorb more of the recoil.

The only one I have, the Tactical Ultra. No complaints here.........

This one. Because it is lite and comfy, shots almost as well as my full size 1911s. Has over a 1000 rounds fired all types HP, reloads etc and only one mag related FTE. Also the fit and finnish is much nicer then that Colt in the second post.

I like the Ultra Carry but added the same Meprolight night sights Kimber uses on the Ultra TLE II - it's about $200 less expensive that way.
FWIW all the basic 3.5" barrel models from Kimber are the same basic gun from an accuracy and reliability standpoint, they just have diferrent options. My experience with it has been similar with about 1200 rounds fired, two mag related FTFs, no FTEs and excellent accuracy. |

I carry a 3 inch ultra covert II if it's nice weather out, otherwise I pick up my Glock 23.

I have a Kimber Ultra Carry II stainless that runs like a top. The only mod I have done is to replace the grips and bushings with Chip McCormick thinline rosewood. I carry it in a Mitch Rosen USD.

The super carry ultra is my edc. For me, the super carry was the only option as the high cut trigger guard makes it fit my hand. Couldn't get a good grip on the other ultra models. I did switch to smooth, thin grips as the stock ones are good at digging into your sides. With the Crossbreed supertuck, I sometimes forget I am carrying.

I have the Ultra CDP II Elite that is my daily carry. It functions 100% of the time and I really like it.

Kimber Ultra II in a Crossbreed holster. It's comfortable and light.
