when I got my AIM 941FS the recoil springs were mangled and not usable.

The 941FS appears to have the compact slide on a full size frame, as it's shorter than my mid size Baby Eable, including the recoil rod and barrel.

Where oh where can I find some springs?


I got a DPM recoil system for it, but the springs are too heavy, and I can't get consistent cycling and practically no slide lock back on empty.

Did you checked mri or iwi? Long shot would be EAA

 
Who's MRI?


I'd check with EAA but I'm not sure what models I'm comparable to.

When I had a Baby Eagle I swapped the recoil spring for a CZ75 one. Never gave me any problems. This was in a full size though... The EAA/Tanfoglio stuff that should work would be some variant (depending on slide length) of the TZ75 or Witness line. I'm sure there's a lot that would work just fine out there though, as these pistols are all copies of copies from around the world.
