Just bought an older one off a guy I work with, it's my first handgun. Anyone have any links to a good video of how to take it apart for cleaning, recommendations on do's, don'ts, ammo(SD and range),mags, holsters, etc.? The guy only put 50 rds through it in the 5 years he owned it, he bought from his brother who only put around 200 rds through it. Everything looks great and it seems to be nice and tight. I will be reading the tacked thread on ammo in a little bit but was just looking for some advice from people who have used one. Payed $400. Did I do alright? Thanks for any info.

I had a 9mm compact version of that gun. AT $400, you got a fair deal.

Damn things are built like a tank, probably more durable than the 1911. Takedown for basic work is straightforward.

Enjoy!

Big and heavy, easy to shoot. D/A pull needs work, S/A is pretty good.  Well made gun.  You did good.

Decent price... mine was $530 new.  Shoots really low; going to have to do something about the sights.  Also chucks brass into the next county.

The 45 is the redheaded stepchild of the Baby Eagle line; zero aftermarket grip options.  You can convert it to 22 though:
