I have always installed pistol sights from the right side of the slide, pushing them left into the slides sight dovetail, and removed them in reverse order.

I just bought a Pachmayr rear sight for my Early style Baby Eagle/ Jericho 941 pistol and the directions say to install the rear sight from the left side of the slide and push them right. The instructions say to do it this way because the rear sight dovetail has a taper.

So do I follow the directions that came with the Pachmayr rear sight left to right, or do I install them like I always have, right to left?

Well I decided to follow the directions, and they ended up being right.

The dovetail taper is backwards for the early style Baby Eagle/ Jericho 941.
