THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
I searched 50AE on the site and didn't come up with much.
Just thought I'd ask here where the best place or cheapest place was to get 50AE ammo or reloading components. I already have dies and still debating on the powder to use. I'd like to stick with Accurate Arms powder for how it meters so well, but willing to change if the consensus is to go with a different manufacture. Oh, are there any particular bullets or weights to stay away from due to feed issues?
Thanks

I just bought some 50AE ammo not to long ago from Cheaper than dirt, that was roughly the cheapest that I had found. But I had also seen some at Ammo to go that was a few more bucks a box.

I've been told the BVAC .50AE from CTD is hit or miss, but most of the time it functions.

There's a guy on Gunbroker who was selling .50AE loads for a good price..

the IMI brass is good, and I recall Starline making brass. I've had my loaders use H110, or Ramshot Enforcer I do believe.

Thanks for the info, can't wait to get home and throw some lead down range. I've been ordering reloading components from powdervalleyInc.com and reusing what brass I currently have.

Current Load out:
Speer 325grn JHP; CCI350; H110@31.5grn; OAL 1.57"

Works great in my 16" upper and the DE.

Ditto, and if you have Sweets copper solvent, and something that will dissolve lead as well, can get away with using rainier plate bullets too.

The secrets here is that you need to flood the gas passage from the chamber to soak the gas channel completely to dissolve both, then use a rubber nose fitting on an air compressor to blow out the channel from the gas section back.

To add, if you have not noticed it yet, the barrel ID side of the gas port starts at the end of the chamber, so any lead or jacket scrapping off the the bullet will end up down the gas port, and be blown forward towards the muzzle.

FYI, 296 and H-110 are the same powder, so when buying such, buy the one that is cheaper. Also 300-mp is a good powder as well, but will be hard pressed to find loads for it. It's a 297 powder, so it has a burn rate just slightly slower than 296.
