If H&K made a USP in .22LR and/or .22mag, would we buy it?

I'd buy it in a GD heartbeat, IMO. Seems like they're just pissing away a huge market niche by not having one of these.

Poll to follow.

I d wait and see.
I buy anything HK, however two things have to happen.
Its got to look cool and function flawless.
If it's a turd then I ain't buying, or it looks like it came in on a slow boat from China. I want a single stack VP9 9mm the size of a Glock 43. I want a second generation of P7 squeeze cocker to be introduced, and a redesign of the USP frame to modern standards.

If it didn't command an HK premium.

If actually made by HK, likely.  If made by another company and is only licensed by HK to use their name, probably not.  Just like all the HK416/MP5 .22LR out there.  They may have the HK name on them but they are not made by HK.

No, no, I'm talking about basically a USP in a rimfire caliber. Not that German Sporting Group stuff.

If I remember correctly I believe HK sued GSG over the 522.  They later licensed Umarex to make the MP5 .22 clones.

That is how I recollect it as well. Which is why I specifically mentioned a USP in rimfire rather than some GSG knock-off.
