I haven't heard anything either. I don't see HK screwing with one of the most reliable pistols on the planet. The only "new" thing I would like to see with the USP is bringing back the Elite, colored frames, and target match pistols. Short of those additions, leave the damn thing alone!

If it's the rail, no big deal to me. I'm in the market for a hammer fired 9MM. USP/P30's have my interest...

The USP line was updated 20 years ago.
The update was called the P-Series (P2000, P30) or the HK-series (HK45, HK45C). Seriously, the USP won't be receiving any "updates", if anything it'll be dropped from the catalog for an updated P or HK series. I expect the P2000 series to be dropped as well when the CBP contract runs it's course. The current HK45's are the best 45's H&K has ever made. The P30 just needs a few tweaks to beef up the recoil spring hole in the slide and it'll be the best 9mm/40 H&K has ever produced. I'd place money on seeing a new "HK9" and "HK40" before seeing an updated USP. |

I don't think the trigger on the P30 is that bad. I do wish it was the same as the one on my USP/USP Compact, but I shoot it very well regardless. I have a P30, P30SK, and P2000 all with that same DA/SA trigger. It is an awful trigger. Which sucks because everything else about the P30 is amazing. |
