I have a chance to pick up a very clean model with KK date code for 1999 manufacturing date for $500 from a friend. I already have it in blued finish and I like that one but don't shoot it a lot. But I think at $500 it's too good of a deal and I should buy it. Any thoughts from anyone on the stainless factor or otherwise?

Thanks for your comment 45procarry. Bought it and put 50 rounds thru it. Typical nice shooter. Stripped it to clean it and I am 90+% sure it had not been shot outside the factory. No barrel smileys at all.
