I've had a USP .45 since 1999, and I have always thought it "would be nice" to pick up another HK pistol.

The past two years have culminated with the purchases of a P7 PSP, P9S, and a VP9.  I had been watching P30's on Gunbroker for the past couple of weeks, and saw one for sale about 2 hours away from me.  I watched the auction get relisted three times, then asked the seller if he'd take some money off of his asking price.  He offered $650 for it, and I gladly accepted it.  I should have the pistol at my LGS late on Wednesday afternoon.

The people who bought the P7's in 2008 for $595 really got a great deal.

I've had a smiliar experience to you.  First a p2000 then I got a p7, usp45, usp expert 9mm,  hk45, and vp9.  Congrats on the pickup, I liked my p30 but let it go cause I didn't love it.  They are a solid pistol though.  I love my new vp9 too.

nice!  Have you fired the p9?  How do you like it ?

The P9 is so smooth and soft recoiling, I had to double check that I didn't have reduced training ammo loads in the mag.

The P9 has always been on my list of things to get. One day though...

I think my next one is either going to be a VP70, or a HK4 with all the barrels and mags.

What's a '9 in decent condition go for these days?   Iconic pistol, wanted one for a long time.

I got mine with three mags for $825.  It needed a new buffer, but HKpro set me up really quick and easy.
