Does anybody here know if HK plan to expand their vp series of pistols to different calibers and possibly even different sizes.

Only if they decide you really "need" a different caliber.

Screw the different caliber, I'd be happy with a VP9c!

I spoke to 3 of their reps at shot show, the universal answer was that yes, a .40 is definately coming. As for different sizes, 2 of the reps believed a long slide version was likely, but they would not guarantee it.Obviously, no dates were given.

The word I heard was .40 will drop sometime this year. No further beyond that.

I would be all over a long slide like a fat girl on gravy-dipped twinkie.

Screw the 40, seriously no body buys HK 40s. The shop I work PT at has had the same ones forever. Nice ones too like the USP T and USP Expert..even the P30 in 40 won't move.

Give me a 357 VP

I was a big .40 fan for a while. It seems the only reason I even keep my .40s is because of the ammo I stocked up on when I first got into the round. I find myself more drawn to 9 and 45 these days and shooting my 40s even less. But I would be interested in the long slide as well.

I'm still holding out for the single stack vp9. Yes, I know, not gonna happen.

My hk p30sl is one of my favorite pistols--and I hate safeties on pistols.  I keep buying ammo for it as I'm afraid 40 is going to be extinct caliber some day.

I'd be interested in a vp40 someday.

I personally hope a compact comes out before additional calibers. .40 is great, but I think a compact in 9mm would sell like mad right now.

The .40 fad is on its way out.
